Star Party, May 2nd!

Another successful star party down in the history books at Jewett Observatory. We got about 40 people this time, and we viewed Saturn and the Moon. I have to say, Saturn's rings and satellites are AMAZING when viewed from a telescope for the first time. We saw Saturn from the side, not from the top, so the length of the rings were visible and remarkable. The coloring was indistinct, kind of whitish, but still very breathtaking. It was my husband's birthday, and he was kind enough to help me do my astronomy thing on his special day.
